    This all you can eat diner in Coventry has disabled access,WI-FI,family rooms,lifts,baby changing, a bar,air conditioning, and a large car park. If you have young kids and you want to eat out in Coventry on a budget, and are looking for cheap and mostly cheerful food then Taybarns may be for you. There is plenty of choice but the quality of the food is basic. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was busy. We had not booked and only had a short wait until we were taken to our table which had just been cleaned. There is nothing fancy about the place settings, no condiments but it was ok. We had the soup, I had the tomato and my lady had chicken soup. It was warm and the flavour was a bit like tined soup. Next I had chilli con carne with boiled rice. The chilli was rather runny but quite spicy, the rice was alright. She had food from the grill - koftas, ribs, and pork all of which was a bit dry. The salad bar food was fine. We then visited the fish and chip bar. The fish were battered pieces of fish like large fish fingers.The chicken portions was very dry. The fish cakes looked ok as did the small mince beef and onion pies. The dessert of Bakewell tart was pretty good. Taybarns is very popular. I can see the attraction if you have young kids who can eat what they like at a budget price. If you are an adult looking for a quality eating experience I would not recommend this restaurant. If you are looking to fill your tummy with safe basic food on a budget in these hard times, Taybarns will meet your needs. Finally, Taybarns Coventry is behind the Showcase Cinema Coventry. Look out for the Premier Inn Hotel Cross Point,Coventry.Taybarns is next door. Open from 11.30 until late.
